JINR (Dubna)62 now has 1Gbps connectivity with M9-IX in Moscow, using the fiber optic cable
of the Russian Satellite Communication Company (RSCC). The project for upgrade this link to
10 Gbps has started and should be in operation in mid 2007.
IHEP (Protvino)63 has started using in 2004 a fiber optic link to M9-IX in Moscow with a
bandwidth of 100 Mbps, and started discussions on 1 Gbps link.
PNPI (Gatchina)64 has started using in 2005 a fiber optic link to St-Petersburg Internet exchange
point with bandwidth of 100 Mbps dedicated for LHC and grid applications. This link is equipped
fully for 1Gbps connectivity and it is in planning for 2007 to start.
BINP (Novosibirsk)65 has connected to the GLORIAD project in autumn 2006 and its
connectivity is of 45-100 Mbps. For connectivity with KEK (Tsukuba) the specialized channel
has been created with bandwidth of 100 Mbps.
