Extensible TeraGrid Facility---ETF (TeraGrid) built and deployed world-class networking,
computing and storage infrastructure designed to engage science and engineering community to
utilize to catalyze new discoveries. Extensible TeraScale Facility http://www.teragrid.org/
DOE/ESnet---DOE's ESNet is complimenting is production network that uses a commercial
provider with 10G waves from NLR for use by DOE researchers with specific major
highbandwidth needs. Currently, ESNet has a 10G wave from San Diego to Sunnyvale to Seattle
to Starlight to Washington DC.
NASA Facilities---NASA has a master project to provide dedicated 10Ge connectivity to its
centers and facilities around United States. Phase 1-Sunnyvale to Washington and Phase 2-
Washington to Altanta, are operational.
OptIPuter---Exploring the uses of optical networking, Internet Protocol, computer storage, and
processing visualization technologies. OptIPuter http://optiputer.calit2.net/
