RENATER is also hosting at SFINX, anycast mirrors of several Internet DNS root-server (F, M).

Future plans:

This network will expand the GEANT2 capabilities with a well focused plan to deliver end to end

services to users. As such, it will probably be a kind of hybrid network, with the proper mix of IP

routing and optical switching.

Target objectives will be to face properly the future requirements of big science challenges like

astronomers, biologists and particle physicists for instance, while continuing a very high quality

support for all research and education communities.
